REVIEW : Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

 Synopsis

After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin. Her opponents are men-thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the king's council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she'll serve the kingdom for three years and then be granted her freedom.

Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilirating. But she's bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her... but it's the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.

Then one of the other contestants turns up dead... quickly followed by another.

Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.

Review

First of all : I loved this book.

Characters
Celeana was such a kick-ass character and also a lovely person.
And Dorian and Chaol are so damn sweet guys *-* I falled in love with both I think :D
Both their relationships with Celeana are wonderful.
On the other side I didn't like Lady Kaltain and especially the king at all. They were and are horrible people.

This whole champion thing was numb but through that Celeana got new friends like Nox and Princess Nehemia.
Those two are both very handsome and even though they knew at the end that Celeana was Celeana they didn't change sides and were against her.

Plot
The story was awesome. The plot was so well written and good, I just couldn't lay that book down and read it almost on one sitting :D
Even though this book wasn't a comical one, some scenes were so funny I just had to laugh :D
And I hope you won't be disappointed that I don't write that much about the plot but that's because I think you should go into this book not without knowing anything but with knowing not too much.

So I gave this book (and now I see that I give this number of stars every book I review)

Have you read it?
If so, did you like it or not, and why?
